Overweight and obesity, like many other chronic medical problems, require specialized treatment. We offer a complete range of services to overweight patients, from nutritional, exercise and psychological counseling to state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment of weight disorders. We are committed to life-long care of our patients and have designed our programs to encourage close, long-term follow-up.
The MGH Weight Center offers expert consultation and treatment for both adults and children, emphasizing family-based therapy whenever appropriate. All clinical care in the MGH Weight Center is provided under the direction of an MGH physician, honoring the strictest patient confidentiality.
The MGH Weight Center is strongly committed to advancing our understanding of the causes, complications and effective treatment of weight disorders.
